The users hit Send, and they even have a final Send on Exit programmed. Recently we have had several users whose email is getting stuck in outbox and until we can find and fix the problem this is causing much grief as those emails are usually time-critical. But this one needs to be a little more 'flashy' if possible to catch my eye. The above mention steps can be followed when email is stuck in the Outbox in outlook for Mac.I have a need for some kind of desktop alert similar to the one that shows i have new email. If the issue with Outlook persists even in setting Outlook to work in offline mode, then you can access and delete the messages using AppleScript. You can open Outbox to view the messages that are kept in pending to be delivered.

You will be able to view Outbox at the bottom of the navigation pane.

In order to stop send/receive schedule, select the Outlook Menu and then work offline.

NOTE: If the process is complete and the message disappears from the progress Window then it was too late to stop the message. On clicking the grey X, you can stop the message to be transferred.

You can click on the Cancel button provided on the right corner of the outgoing message.

This method to open the Progress Window is comparatively faster. NOTE: You can also open the Progress Window by simply pressing the shortcut key i.e., Command +7.
